The release version of ShowMan 10 includes a web widget at the bottom left of the main menu that attempts to retrieve the date of the latest release from the internet.

You can look at that date and compare it to the version at the top of the main menu. That version is shown as a reverse date:



If you are not connected to the internet, then you will likely see a little question mark and the program will ignore the update.

A neat feature here is that ShowMan can also show short urgent messages - such as important bug fixes - or a short note about something relevant!
