Athenaeum 3.0 (Pro) and Athenaeum Express recently introduced a registration scheme. This allows for schools and organisations to trial software downloaded from the internet and then personalise Athenaeum themselves, upon receipt of a registration code from SumWare Consulting.
To register Athenaeum, you need your organisation name and registration code exactly as provided by SumWare Consulting. These details are case sensitive (that is, capital letters matter within your organisation name).
You know that you need to register Athenaeum when you see text similar to the following at the bottom of the Main Menu or the Options Menu.
"Unregistered" means that Athenaeum is in "trial mode" and the date that follows is the date that Athenaeum will "expire."
To register Athenaeum, click the Admin button on the Options Menu (if you don't know where this is, you need to read the tutorial).
Just above the words "School Name" "Unregistered", you will see a button named "Register". Click this button.
You are now asked for your organisation name. Enter the name, as provided by SumWare Consulting, paying attention to upper and lower case characters.
Click the OK button and then enter the registration code, including any special characters such as the hyphen, period and slash characters. Then click the OK button.
When you have entered everything correctly, Athenaeum will now show your school or organisation name with no expiry date on the Main Menu and you have succesfully registered Athenaeum.
If you make a mistake, then you will be asked to try again. (Check the CAPS Lock key.) You can try three times. After those three times, Athenaeum will automatically quit.
If you are having problems, please contact SumWare Consulting at library @ sumware.co.nz for help.
