Importing Athenaeum Light 3 data into Athenaeum Light 5
If you are upgrading from Athenaeum Light 3 to Athenaeum Light 5, you will want to migrate your data. Follow the instructions below.

Back up your Athenaeum Light 3!! Make sure that Athenaeum Light 3 and Athenaeum Light 5 are installed on the same computer.

Start up Athenaeum Light 3 with the library%% password. When the program has started, click on the Config button at the bottom right of the screen.

Click on the Programmer button at the bottom right of the config screen. Next, click on the Find All button.

Press Ctrl/Command-1 to go back to the main menu and quit the program.

Next, start Athenaeum Light with library%% . Click on the Administration button, and then the Programmer button of the Admin screen.

Click on the Import All button. You will see a series of dialog boxes with various warnings and instructions! Work through them. (note that any existing data in Athenaeum 5 will automatically be deleted).

You will now be asked to match up the files between the old and new versions of Athenaeum Light. You will be prompted for the name of the files. In the Open dialog box, navigate to the folder containing your Athenaeum Light 3 files.

Choose the first file you were prompted for in the Open dialog box (Sumware.ATH)

The Import Dialog Box appears:

Choose Matching Names from the View By pop-up list on the top right of the dialog box, and click on Import. A dialog box appears regarding auto-enter values; click OK.

Repeat for all files in Athenaeum Light. Click on the Home button. You are now ready to go!
