When you have configured FileMaker Pro 4.0 appropriately, and opened Athenaeum with that copy of FileMaker Pro 4 (either directly or as a guest) you then need to provide a link to the web pages and distribute that to your users. You should do this on your school's home page. For example, if the Athenaeum web-hosting computer has an internal IP address of 192.168.1.215, then other browsers would link to this computer's copy of Athenaeum by entering "http://192.168.1.215/default.htm". Alternately, you could create a dns entry for your network that resolved "http://library/default.htm" in the same way. If you don't know what that means, then you should be showing this document to someone who does. You must open Athenaeum Pro with the password "webonly", which gives export privilige to the catalogue. We have provided a sample page that you can modify by entering the IP address of the web-hosting computer. Changing the TCP/IP Port NumberWhen accessing the Web, your computer uses an assigned TCP/IP port number, usually 80. If you are already running a personal Web server (such as Microsoft Personal Web Server or Mac OS Personal Web Sharing), consider changing the port number for the FileMaker Pro Web Companion to 591 (see your network administrator for more information). FileMaker have registered port number 591 with the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) for use with the Web Companion. Note: If you have to reassign the port number to one other than 80, users can't access your database home page unless they append a colon and the new port number to your IP address, for example, 12.34.56.78:591, (or you provide the IP address with the port number in a hyperlink).
